I really had a fun time with this game. Nice challenge, good balance. Rules were well written and concise. Map and counters looked good. Over all good game at a good price.

4 Great game. Great value.

Great map, made from a period intel map and all the little detail adds richness to what otherwise would be a plain, green, blobby area map. Well done. I would have liked to see more player aids on the map like the "on-call" die rolls for artillery, tanks and satchel charges support. I added them myself but really hesitated to touch that beautiful map. I also made a graphic to track attacker and defender totals. the calculations aren't hard, I just can't remember more than about one number at a time. The counters are high-quality. I only have one minor nit to pick and that's the army P-38 image on the navy air chit. The rhythm of the game is exciting and it took me a few tries to "crack" it. It's definitely a matter of combined arms to move the defenders out of those destroyed urban areas. I'll let you figure it out yourself. this game plays easily solitaire. It's a great value especially at the sale price. There are not a lot of end runs in this game but more a matter or orchestrating your resources to inflict the max hurt on the defender without exhausting the yourself. I've walked the island twice and climbed Mt Gusuku once. thanks to that great map, I could really visualize the action. Thanks for shedding light on this little-known battle.
